Licensing

What is the licensing model?

It is concurrent users licensing model. Every user can open unlimited terminal sessions within single browser instance. It will be counted as a single license usage.

What is the payment model?

It is perpetual one-time payment without additional cost.

What is your price policy for large number of users?

We have a base price / user with great discounts depending on number of concurrent users.

Is licensing related to the LPAR partition or machine?

To machine. All partitions have the same QSRLNBR. License can be split (limited) through web admin console for every partition.

Does the license allow multiple users on a single PC?

Absolutely. Every user session (not terminal session) will be counted as a single license usage.

Q.

Licensing for a secondary backup server?

After you sign a memorandum confirming machine is used only as an alternative backup, we will provide you 1year renewable license.

What is the maintenance policy?

There is an optional yearly maintenance fee which include technical support and product updates.

Q.

What kind of support do you provide?

For small clients, there are 50 tickets included in maintenance and support. For large clients, support is unlimited.

Do you support SLA?

Yes, every client gets basic SLA-6. Clients with yearly maintenance program, automatically get SLA-3. SLA-1 is also available at additional cost.

We need additional feature?

Customer requested feature is charged separately. If the feature is included as a standard offering, we might do it free of charge.

What is difference between SLA-6, SLA-3 and SLA-1?

Number denotes response time from 6hr to 1hr regardless of time zone.

Installation

Do we need to install terminal on every workstation?

No. Green Screen Service is a product installed on a central server (MS Windows, Linux, IBM i). Workstation operators opens URL link to the Green Screen Server for terminal session.

Q.

Can we install Green Screens Server on the cloud?

Yes. Make sure your IBM i servers are accessible from cloud location.

Q.

Is there a support for large volume workstations installations?

Yes. In most cases, there is nothing to be installed on user workstation. However, browser extension and integration modules can be installed through PDC login script.

Can you assist us with installation?

Yes. For local installation, please ensure remote access to the location where to install the product through remote access software.

Where Green Screens can be installed?

Almost everywhere Java runtime is accessible. MS Windows, Linux, AIX, IBM i, cloud environment, Docker etc.

Q.

Can browser extension be installed and configured silently without online access?

Yes, there is a registry file which can be distributed through PDC login process for silent install. There is also silent config procedure.
